Rodney W. Sippel (born 1956) is a United States federal judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri. Sippel was born in Jefferson City, Missouri. He received a B.S. from University of Tulsa in 1978, and a J.D. from Washington University School of Law in 1981. He lived in St. Louis, Missouri and practiced law there, except for a period when he was an Administrative assistant to U.S. Representative Richard A. Gephardt from 1993 to 1995. Sippel is a federal judge to the United States District Courts for both the Western and Eastern District of Missouri. He was nominated by President Bill Clinton on May 15, 1997, to a seat on each court vacated by Stephen N. Limbaugh, Sr.. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on November 8, 1997, and received his commission on November 12, 1997. ==Sources==
